Actions taken by environmental agencies are focused on reducing the carbon emissions from building construction, which is responsible for 39% of global energy-related carbon emissions, 28% from operational emissions from the energy needed to heat, cool, and power them, and the remaining 11% from materials and construction. In addition, environmental agencies are pushing the overall construction industry to reduce, control and report carbon emissions in an effort to decarbonize the sector in one of the most cost-effective ways to mitigate the worst effects of climate breakdown.

The engineering and construction (E&C) industry serves a broad spectrum of customers from oil/gas/chemical owners, pharmaceutical, power supply, mining, and automobile manufacturers, to residential homeowners, public infrastructure, and small businesses. Over the past three years, the E&C industry has been on a roller-coaster of declines driven by the global pandemic to recent recovery and expansions ... and is now buffeted by severe inflationary pressures.
Case History: A large petrochemical company was short on internal resources to oversee Project Control services on a $200MM+ international revamp project. This project was extremely complex and involved coordination of two shutdowns with the integration of a capital project as well.
Karl brings over 20 years of Project Controls experience with expertise in project controls best practices, detailed planning/scheduling, cost controls, change management, risk assessment, estimating, spend forecasts, schedule analytics, work pack development and implementation, Earned Value Management, and dashboard development for capital, and mission critical projects.
