It’s no surprise that plastic pollution is one of the biggest areas of public concern in the world. Plastic flows to the ocean are expected to increase from 11 million metric tons to 29 million metric tons by 2040, negatively affecting more than 800 marine species. Beyond this, plastic pollution equates to $80-$120 billion in lost economic value. The current linear model, Take-Make-Waste, which does not capture plastic for reuse and recycling, is unsustainable.
The Richard L. Tucker Leadership & Service Award recognizes an individual who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the CII mission and to the success of CII as an organization. It is named in honor of Dr. Richard L. Tucker, who personally led the effort to create the Construction Industry Institute in 1983 and who served as the first CII Director from its inception until his retirement as Director in 1998.
Some believe that traditional project management practices do not apply to these projects due to their repetitive nature, minimal technical challenges, speed, etc. Pathfinder’s experience is to the contrary, these projects, due to all the issues addressed above, are more in need of basic project principles than other projects.
Anar, is a Principal Associate for Pathfinder. She is a strategy management and business transformation professional with 10 years of experience in cost excellence of energy and infrastructure projects. She has demonstrated proficiency in project cost excellence, control and analysis, strategy implementation, business transformation and office management. Her business transformation experience has been on process improvement and Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) tool implementation, such as SAP (BluePrint and Business Warehouse).
