This engaging 2-day (14 PDH), highly interactive, virtual workshop is a hands-on practitioner’s view of the Owner’s role in the construction management process, respecting various potential project execution environments and contracting methodologies. This session defines the interfaces with many other aspects of a project that allows for efficient and productive construction, many of these are driven by either decisions or actions by the Owners. These include, but not limited to, contracting strategy decisions, materials management plans, quality assurance/quality control criteria, safety planning and assurance, regulatory compliance, site constraints, etc. Through live instruction and collaborative break-out sessions, attendees discover industry best practices, interlaced with CII Best Practices to address these issues and considerations. Attendees collaborate in project teams and develop various construction planning deliverables, role play what-if scenarios, address actual case study construction issues and practice some of the available CII tools related to relevant industry issues.
